Jeffrey Dufon

Jeffrey Dufon is a judge for the 36th Circuit Court in Van Buren County, Michigan.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Rick Snyder on November 26, 2013, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Paul Hamre.[2] On November 4, 2014, Dufon was elected to the court unopposed for a full six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[3]

Education
Dufon received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his J.D. degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.[2]
Career
Before his appointment to the court, Dufon worked as an attorney in private practice, specializing in criminal defense and bankruptcy law. He also previously served as an assistant prosecutor for Kalamazoo County.[2]
