Jeffrey F. Stewart is the chancellor for the Twelfth District Chancery Court in Tennessee. The court presides over Bledsoe, Franklin, Grundy, Marion, Rhea, and Sequatchie counties. He has served on the court since 1989 and was re-elected in 2006 and 2014. His current term expires in 2022.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Stewart received his undergraduate degree from the University of the South in 1973 and his J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law in 1977.[1]

Career

Stewart began his legal career in 1978 working as an attorney in a general law practice. He continued to work in that capacity until he became a chancellor in 1989.[1]
