Jeffrey Freeman was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 76 of the Kansas House of Representatives.[1]
2014
Freeman's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]
“
|
- SUPPORT QUALITY PUBLIC & PRIVATE SCHOOLS
- Kansas’ future is sitting in the classroom right now and we cannot let them down. Kansas ranks right at the top in the nation for quality schools, but that fact has been clouded by the funding fight. We need to bring all the stake-holders, including private schools, together to formulate sensible solutions that boost student achievement and success. Jeff is confident that we can work together to provide adequate funding, allow charter schools, and maintain the quality that Kansas students have come to expect. Jeff will stand firm with the students and teachers of this great state.
- DEFEND RURAL OPPORTUNITY ZONES FOR QUALITY, GOOD PAYING JOBS
- Jeff believes that the Kansas Legislature was right to continue supporting the Rural Opportunity Zones. This sound economic tool will help ensure that Kansas’ Rural citizens remain a vital part of the economic puzzle. When we have pro-growth policies that work for Kansas, Kansans work.
- Jeff has a proven track record of supporting good paying jobs for working families. Jeff’s unique perspective and rural values will help him stand out as a leader in Topeka. Jeff believes Kansas’ future is secure because it lies in the hard-working hands of rural Kansans. Our continued investment in the great people of Kansas will be a priority.[3]
