Jeffrey Highbear Morgan is a native Californian, born in Santa Cruz, raised in the South Bay and has lived in California most of his life (with the exception of my high school and early college years). His professional career began in Silicon Valley, starting in manufacturing, kicking off a 30+ year career as a software engineer.

For over thirty years Jeff has been solving complex technical problems in various software engineering roles. In 2017, Jeff joined the Democratic Party to pursue his interests in solving complex social problems. In 2019, Jeff earned a BS in Christian Leadership, MA in Executive Leadership in 2020, and is currently pursuing my PhD in Public Policy. Jeff chose to run for Lieutenant Governor because the responsibilities align with his and most Californians priorities: economy, education and environment. As a Conservative Democrat, Jeff shares the same values as most Californians. Jeff has never been one to subscribe to group-think, but instead boldly challenges the status quo when he believes necessary.

  • Economy: long-term solutions to homelessness, reduce crime and increase funds for law enforcement, incentives for small businesses (especially those lost due to CV19 lockdowns).
  • Education: Continue to expand higher education availability and affordability (e.g. Calbright.org), promote conservative values by removing CRT and Transgender programs
  • Environment: Protect our coastlines, state and national parks, improve forest management and reduce wildfire risk, promote regenerative agriculture/permaculture.
Most Californians want to see our state return to being a leader again. We can do this by embracing our diverse culture, one that seeks equal opportunity so long as it does not interfere with the freedoms of others. We can revive our economy, arts, entertainment, tourism and technology industries with policies that encourage business to stay in California, and people to visit and live here.

However, we are seeing too many people leave our state, and many more are seriously considering moving out of state. This is understandable given our failures in addressing homelessness, crime and education (among many other issues).

We don’t need to leave. Instead we must fight for our great state and take back control by no longer electing representatives responsible for putting forth an agenda that does not serve the will of the majority or the overall good of people.

It is time to elect leaders that are not afraid to challenge the Democratic status quo. We need Democrats to speak out against the left agenda which is driving so many people away. These are not solely my views, but the majority of Californians, including Democrats. Only bold new leadership can make this happen. It is my belief that a conservative approach, preserving the California identity is the best solution to course correct the shift towards leftist/socialist policies. Once the Democratic constituency no longer fears being canceled, we will have an opportunity to become the envy of all other states.
