Jeffrey Kilgorer was the probate judge in Washington County, Vermont. He was appointed to the court by Governor Peter Shumlin on July 13, 2012, and was sworn into office on July 16, 2012.[1] Kilgore was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on January 31, 2019.[2]

Education

Kilgore received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, his master's degree in economics and taxation from Michigan State University in 1975, and his J.D. degree from the Vermont Law School in 1978. He then received his LL.M. from the Boston University School of Law in 1988.[1][3]

Career

Before his appointment to the court, Kilgore worked as an attorney in private practice, specializing in real estate, tax, trusts and estates, and corporate law.[1]
