As of 2016, Jeffrey Kushner was the Montana statewide drug court coordinator for the Montana Supreme Court. He resided in Victor, Montana.[1] Kushner opposed the 2016 Montana Medical Marijuana Initiative (I-182), which proposed to make amendments to the Montana Marijuana Act of 2011, including a repeal of the medical marijuana three-patient limit for providers.[2]

Career

Kushner gained experience in state-level drug abuse programs as the state alcohol and drug abuse director for Nebraska, Colorado, and Oregon. In 1997, Kushner transitioned to the role of drug court administrator for the 22nd Judicial Circuit in St. Louis, Missouri. He later accepted a position as the coordinator for Montana's newly-created statewide drug court system in 2008.[1][3]

As Montana's statewide drug court coordinator, Kushner oversaw 33 drug courts across the state. He was responsible for administration, technical assistance, data collection, and general oversight of court operations.[3]

Kushner also worked as a consultant with Addictions Consulting Group, a national consulting firm that provided strategic guidance to rehabilitation facilities and related organizations.[4]
