Jeffrey L. Thorne is a judge of the LaPorte County Superior Court in Indiana. He was elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[1]

Thorne ran for election to the LaPorte County Superior Court.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.
General: He defeated Jennifer L. Koethe in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 56.1 percent of the vote. [1][2] 

Education

Thorne graduated from Elston High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University-Bloomington and his J.D. from the Valparaiso University School of Law.[3]

Career

Thorne was involved in private practice in LaPorte since 1978. At the time of his election to the court, he was an associate general partner and managing partner of the original firm of Sweeney, Winski, Dabagia & Donoghue n/k/a Sweeney, Dabagia & Thorne, LLP. In the past Thorne has worked as an attorney for the Town Council of Michiana Shores, the Town Council of Pottawatomie Park, the Town Council of Long Beach and the Michigan City Board of Aviation Commissioners.[3]
