Jeffrey Monroe (Georgia)

Jeffrey Monroe is a judge of the Bibb County State Court in Georgia. He was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal (R) in August 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge William P. Adams.[1] Monroe was sworn in to office on August 22, 2017, and took the bench on August 28, 2017.[2]
Biography
Monroe earned an undergraduate degree and a J.D. from the University of Georgia.[1]
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Monroe was a partner at the Macon firm Jones Cork. His experience also includes work for the firm Anderson, Walker & Reichert and service as the chair of the Bibb County SPLOST advisory committee, a member of the review panel for the State Bar of Georgia, and a member of the law and technology committees of the Bibb County and Macon County consolidation task force.[1]
