Jeffrey Sauter was a judge of the 56th Circuit Court in Eaton County, Michigan.[1] He was appointed to the court by Republican Governor Rick Snyder on May 9, 2013, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Calvin Osterhaven.[2] On November 4, 2014, Sauter was elected unopposed for a full six-year term.[3]  He retired from the court in April 2016.[4]

Sauter received his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and his J.D. degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.[2] Sauter died on May 25, 2016.[5]
