Biography
Wheeler is an electrician, having graduated from the Indianapolis Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee.[1]

On Wheeler's campaign website, he wrote the following:
“ | Together we can work on the issues that Indianapolis faces. We need to use our resources to make our city safer, fix our sidewalks and streets, and develop an economic plan to move our city forward. These are just but a few of the issues we face today. If we don't start now, when will we?[2] | ” |
Elections
2015
The city of Indianapolis, Indiana, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A partisan primary election took place on May 5, 2015. The filing deadline for major party candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015. The filing deadline for independent or minor party candidates was July 15, 2015.[3] Twenty-five city council seats were up for election. Indianapolis's four at-large seats were not up for election, because those seats were scheduled to expire at the end of 2015.[4]
In the Republican primary election for District 25, incumbent Aaron Freeman ran unopposed. In the Democratic primary, Jeffrey Todd Wheeler also ran unopposed. Freeman defeated Wheeler and Mike Jasper (Libertarian) in the general election.[5]

Wheeler was elected an agent with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in 2014, and he is currently his chapter's assistant business manager and treasurer. He has participated in various volunteer opportunities with IBEW, including the lighting of the Monument CIrcle during the holiday season.
Wheeler and his wife Beth have two daughters.[1]
