Noteworthy events

Barr was arrested by highway patrol officers in March 2015.[10] The arrest, which was recorded on video and released publicly, occurred when a routine traffic stop escalated into an altercation between Barr and the patrol officers. Barr said he was unfairly targeted as punishment for having spoken out in the past against the police and that he was the victim of excessive force and malfeasance by the arresting officers. In addition to speeding, Barr was booked for "disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and non-compliance," according to a Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson.[10]
