I grew up loving policy, politics, and public service. One of my earliest memories is watching the 1980 presidential conventions. I remember seeing the sea of people on tv and I thought the balloon drops were just so mesmerizing.

My mom was a public-school teacher and my dad was a minister. They both served our community day in and day out with every ounce of their beings. I grew up wanting to serve this state and community as well.

I'm a mother, daughter, wife, professional, and business owner. After years of leadership roles in business and finance and dedicated service within our community, I'm ready to fight on behalf of our district in Little Rock. I want my daughters to know that democracy can work when we look out for each other - and that decency, love, and kindness are the best ways to govern.

  • Affordable Accessible Healthcare
  • Fully Funding Public Education, Teacher and Staff and provide universal Pre-K and After-School Programs
  • Smart Roads and Infrastructure
Our teachers deserve a fair wage that's nationally competitive. They deserve to be supported with the resources they need from elected officials; no one should ever be paying out of pocket for classroom supplies.

Nearly 30% of the population in District 94 is under the age of 18. We should invest in pre-K services for our kids, because early education is proven to help children succeed with lasting benefits to society. We also need to take adult education and skills-retraining seriously. Creating more access to vocational, technical, and community college training, so we can both build and attract industry is vitally important.

Our state's infrastructure is struggling to keep up with the rapid growth. We must address the replacement and expansion of our aging water and sewage pipes. We should ensure our roads are well-maintained for the steady transportation of goods and services that so many Arkansans depend on for their income. And we need a bipartisan approach to creating new development so we don't risk our economy grinding to a halt.

When our economy does well, our families do well - and we want to make sure no one struggles with hunger or poverty in our district. We need to make investments here (and across the state), to encourage the growth and diversification that will keep our economy stable. We need to attract more nurses, teachers, and service sector workers; encourage the small business start-ups that attract families to our community.
Honesty, integrity, a strong sense of doing what is best for the most vulnerable
Intelligent, hard-working, community minded, ethical, able to work with others, empathetic, eager to learn and understand all options and sides
The first really big event that I remember was the explosion of the Space Shuttle Challenger. I was in the 3rd grade and wanted to be an astronaut. I remember the pain on my teacher, Miss Golden's, face. We were glued to the small tv on a huge cart that came from the library. A citizen...a teacher in space! My teacher had applied, so we had a connection to that launch and it hit all of us that we could have lost our teacher that day.
I was 14 when I was hired by a couple in my church who owned a book store. I worked almost EVERY Saturday until I was 18. I was there nearly 4 years and learned so much about small business and entrepreneurship.
