Guidry Secrease ran for election to the 21st Judicial District.
Primary: She was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 27.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Jeff Cashe and C. Glenn Westmoreland.

Secrease received a B.A. in English from Southeastern Louisiana University and a J.D. degree from the Louisiana State University School of Law.[3]
Career
Secrease began her law practice, Jenel G. Secrease, Attorney at Law, LLC, in 2008. She previously worked in another private practice.[3]
