I am the current planning board chairman serving Huntersville over 3 years. I want to use this experience to serve the people by representing them on the town board. I am a working mother, and 17 year resident engaged in my community. I am experienced and passionate about serving my community; what better way to serve. I am proudly endorsed by the PBA (Police Benevolence Association). With a family of officers I understand their choice of work and will support them to help keep the citizens safe. I found home in Huntersville and will work everyday to keep it home for you.
  • Listen and speak for the citizens
  • Change current ordinances to save our trees and bring in affordable housing options
  • Support our first responders and their families
We are in the process of updating our 2030 plan and this is the blue print the town uses for growth. I am especially passionate about this process because it's a chance to talk with the citizens and incorporate their vision of the town into a plan.
Every town needs a board willing to make and change policy on behalf of the people.
Anyone willing to do what's right even when it's hard.
As I mentioned above doing what's right even when it's hard, making decisions for the good of the town over personal preference. Listening and engaging with the public.
Worked at the local roller rink in the snack bar at 14.
Most people believe the commissions can control the traffic, but the majority of the roads are controlled by NCDOT and the state law limits what we can do.
This seat would be considered an entry into government. There is no book on how to be a commissioner. This is a learn as you go process.
Planning Board background as I have, along with the ability to make decisions for the good of the majority even if it's against person opinion. A knowledge of finance would be helpful.
