I am a social progressive who wants to see Missouri move forward together. I love candor. I was taught never to bring a problem to the table without a possible solution and that is what I intend to do. I am the second generation of a small family business located in O'Fallon, MO. I was taught the value of hard work but also had instilled in me the value of taking care of your people.
  • Fully Funding Public Schools is so important to our State's future.
  • Protecting Voting Rights by making it as convenient as possible for all eligible voters to participate.
  • Protecting Reproductive Freedoms for all people is essential to maintaining our autonomy now and for those in the future.
Jenna believes politicians should be working FOR the people, instead of the party of political grandstanding that has become more and more prevalent throughout the Country, and Missouri. The Missouri State Legislature has unnecessarily spent your taxpayer dollars to fight their constituents in the Courts.
I believe the ability to effectively, and frequently, engage with constituents is very important. Transparency will only further invest voters in potential policies affecting their lives. The time for "playing to extremes" and intentionally working up "the base" over half truths and deceit needs to end.
The core responsibility of a State Senator is to balance the needs of the State while weaving in the will of the people as represented in the House.
I remember watching the Berlin Wall being dismantled on my 8th birthday. I had little understanding of the politics of it but I did see people standing up to those who would harm and control others.

Children are sponges and are a smarter than we give them credit for. They can understand ideas and know how to ask questions. We owe it to them not to sugarcoat our history so its lessons will not be convoluted or even lost entirely.
My favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. It successfully weaves society and dangerous, preconceived notions of our role in said society. It addresses systemic problems facing POC and the mob mentality of a group whom feels offended and is willing to go full vigilante regardless of facts.
As someone who has been "gifted", I have found myself on the outside of societal norms for most of my life. I understand what it is like to think different and behave different and how that often leads to being overlooked or silenced. I cannot attest to others life experiences specifically, but I do possess the ability to not marginalize those I may not by in sync with. The key is to hear and be heard because we are too quick to ostracize and criticize those we deem as different.
As we continue to stress the importance of good education, we are facing a teacher shortage due to underfunding and general disrepsect. Schools are designed for learning and thought provocation, not individualized "nanny" systems.

Not necessarily. No one has experience until they have experience. I am a full supporter of good ideas and execution of those ideas and that does not always happen with the frequent fliers of politics.
It is always beneficial to build relationships. Investing in others is at the core of who I am and learning about what makes us "us" can only benefit the legislative process for everyone. We already have too many unwilling to assume the roles as public servant in service to their own personal ambitions of higher offices.
In a perfect world, we could draw districts that are pretty evenly split. Creating partisan districts only incentivizes lack of visibility by politicians as they take their voters for granted.
I believe compromise would be ideal in most situations but there are policies that it cannot be applied to. A person's right to choose cannot be compromised on and neither can a person's right to vote.
