I'm a wife, mother, and conservative who is very concerned about where our nation is headed. I couldn't sit on the sidelines any longer. I had to get involved somehow to make a difference for not only my children and grandchildren but also for all the people of Missouri and America. I'm not a politician, and I won't play political games; there's too much at stake. My devotion isn't to a company or industry but to the people of this great state and great nation.
  • I'm pro-Constitution. Our constitution matters whether we're in the middle of a pandemic or not. Our rights and freedoms matter. PERIOD. The US Constitution and our state constitution matter and guide us as we enact laws to help citizens pursue life, liberty, and happiness. I'm against censoring free speech -- I may not agree with or like what you have to say, but I'll protect it anyway. Criminals don't follow laws, so legislation that infringes on law-abiding citizens' rights to own firearms and buy ammo to protect themselves and their families is wrong. I'll protect your 2A rights.
  • I'm pro-medical freedom. You alone should be able to make decisions regarding your health and what does or doesn't go into your body. NO ONE has the right to force you or your family to take a medical treatment or protocol that you don't want. You have every right to visit family members in the hospital, even during a pandemic. Government policies do not belong in the middle of the patient-doctor relationship. Doctors should have the freedom to treat their patients as they see fit using their extensive knowledge and experience, and doctors shouldn't fear government interference when treating patients. I'll work and vote to protect the rights of Missourians to make their own medical decisions and fight against "health" mandates of all kinds.
  • I'm pro-education choice. As a former secondary teacher, education is near and dear to my heart. Sadly, our education system is failing too many students. Schools are getting distracted with things like CRT and DEI and SEL. As schools have shifted their focus to these areas, student test scores in reading, writing, math, and science have suffered, leaving too many students unprepared for the workforce or for college. I will fight to refocus schools on what really matters: teaching students instead of indoctrinating them with the latest far-left propaganda.
I'm passionate about:

> Protecting Free Speech (First Amendment rights)
> Protecting the Pre-born
> Protecting Second Amendment rights for law-abiding citizens
> Enacting legislation for struggling and dyslexic readers
> Protecting the rights of female athletes
> Holding schools accountable for student outcomes
> Giving parents school choice when their school fails their kids
> Medical freedom/choice for patients and medical professionals
> Requiring that the Science of Reading be taught in all teacher training colleges
> Creating a Taxpayer Bill of Rights to hold elected officials accountable and protect taxpayers
> Safer schools (place armed veterans/resource officers in every school)
> Banning CRT and other divisive ideologies in MO schools

> Election integrity (fair and accurate elections)

My faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible are what guide me most. Bible teaching and the teachings of Jesus are what shape my belief system. I'm sure I fall short more often than not, so I reset and keep going and try to do better next time with His help.
An elected official should adhere to the US and state Constitutions to protect citizens' rights and limit government involvement/interference in their lives.
I'm intelligent and a quick learner. I'm passionate about our state and our nation following the Constitution and remaining faithful to the qualities that have made our nation and state great. I will listen to the concerns of my constituents and vote in their best interest and according to the Constitution. I won't be bought by special interest groups; my loyalty is to the people.
I want people to remember that I always fought for freedom and for what was right.
I remember Ronald Reagan running for office. I was happy when he got elected. I'm not sure how old I was -- maybe middle school.
While I babysat some as a teenager, my first real job was working at Hardees for $3/hour as a fifteen year old. As soon as I turned 16, I went across the street to McDonald's because they paid $3.25/hour!
The Bible. I also like thriller mysteries and nonfiction, faith-based books.
I am a breast cancer survivor. I was determined to not only survive but thrive. I researched my options, changed doctors, and made significant changes to my lifestyle. I was willing to do the work. I'm not afraid to do hard things. I thank God for every day I have on this planet and have decided to live life to the fullest and try to make it a better place.
They should work together to do what is best for the people and businesses. They should stay out of the way as much as possible while working to protect rights and minimize unnecessary and burdensome regulations.
Education and the medical industry will need significant changes. The rights of parents and children need to be protected from schools that have forgotten their primary function: educating. Schools need to be held accountable when they fail students and families. Schools need to be SAFE for students and staff, so armed resource officers in every single building is something I'd like to see. (Gun-free zones are targets for criminals and deranged individuals.)

Costs in the medical industry are out of control. We need to ensure people have affordable options for medication and care while protecting their rights to choose which treatments are right for them.
We need to continue to develop our infrastructure in Missouri and fund it.

Also, it's time for Missouri to become a Right-to-Work state.
Yes and no. It's beneficial because they understand the ins and outs of the job, but they can become out-of-touch with what real people in the state are going through.
As a brand-new legislator (never a politician), I would bring new ideas to the table and not be indebted to special interest groups. My loyalty would be to the people.
Of course. Legislators on both sides of the aisle need to work together and sometimes meet in the middle to get things done. As a freshman rep, I would look to those who have more experience than I do to show me the ropes and help me learn the process.
As a former teacher, I would like to be on the education committee.
Also, since I favor smaller, less invasive government (in general), I'd like to be on the committee that reduces/eliminates unnecessary/outdated bills/laws.
While canvassing for the Missouri Canvassers, I spoke with a man whose father passed away 10 years ago but who voted in the 2020 election. Someone hijacked his father's right to vote and used it for their own purposes. That's wrong. I want to ensure that our elections are fair and accurate, and that every legal vote is counted.
Absolutely -- within reason. I lean conservative and will do my best to stick to those values. But I do understand that a good piece of legislation that passes is better than a perfect one that doesn't. I will always try to listen to all sides of an issue before making a final decision or drafting legislation.
