What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
Improving the quality of our public schools for both students and teachers. Fighting for our unions and protecting labor rights. Working for our environment and re-prioritizing agricultural education.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
As a public school teacher and a union vice president I am particularly passionate about bettering our educational systems and standing up for workers' rights.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
I believe all elected officials should be willing to sit down with people/fellow elected officials who may not share the same viewpoint and strive to work towards a common cause.
What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?
One of Michigan's greatest challenges over this next decade will be identifying what damage has been caused by pollutants, especially in our water, and updating our infrastructure to protect our citizens and our natural resources.
What process do you favor for redistricting?
I support Proposal 2 to end gerrymandering in Michigan.
