Jennifer Balido was a judge on the 291st District Court in Texas. She was appointed by Governor Rick Perry in October 2013.[1] She lost re-election on November 4, 2014, and retired from the bench when term expired on December 31, 2014.[2][3]

She was previously a judge of the 203rd District Court. Her term on that court expired in 2010.[4]

Balido ran for re-election to the 291st District Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Stephanie N. Mitchell. [3][5][6] 

2010

Balido was defeated by Democratic Teresa Hawthorne in the general election to the 203rd District Court.[7]
