|- Government should stay in its lane. Limited government means that folks who are elected to represent the people need to do the work of government - budgets and regulations - and spend less time focusing on social issues.
- As a Republican, I believe the role of government is to protect freedoms, especially our Constitutional freedoms as articulated in the Bill of Rights.
- As a Christian, I will prioritize the protection of life. This includes pro-life legislation, but it also goes beyond that. In certain circumstances, a social safety net is a legitimate role of government in order to help honor and value life.
