Jennifer Hammer
Jennifer Hammer was the director of insurance for Illinois from 2017 to 2018. She was appointed to the position by Governor Bruce Rauner (R) in December 2016, replacing Anne Melissa Dowling. Dowling left office in January 2017.[1] Hammer stepped down in December 2018.[2]

Hammer served as deputy chief of staff for policy in Governor Bruce Rauner's office. At the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Hammer worked as executive director of the Healthcare Council and as vice president and legal counsel of governmental affairs. She worked as an attorney at Winning, Cohen & Bodewes, P.C..[1]
