I am a devoted wife and mother of two, and have proudly called Chandler home for nearly two decades. I value the strong sense of community and exceptional quality of life Chandler offers. As Chandler's next councilmember, I will uphold, and enhance these qualities, ensuring Chandler remains a premier destination for all to live, work, invest, and thrive. I look forward to meeting you on the campaign trail!
  • Business Friendly As a small business owner, I recognize the vital role of supporting local commerce for organic and innovative economic growth. I will advocate for local businesses, providing them with essential support while minimizing government interference.
  • Prioritized Budgeting & Smart Spending With a strong purchasing background in the construction industry, my experience with budgets and negotiations affords me an appreciation for fiscal responsibility. This is your money, and I will prioritize this valuable resource when allocating funds, and I will advocate for using a smart spending approach to maintain Chandler's appeal.
  • Safe Communities Public safety is paramount. I will work to maintain Chandler's reputation as one of the nation's safest cities. I pledge to equip first responders with the tools and resources they need to foster strong community / police relations, and to ensure residents continue to feel secure.
I am particularly passionate about fueling the economy and having free market solutions. When we foster an environment where innovation thrives and businesses can flourish without unnecessary 'red-tape', we have the ability to empower our entire community.
I believe the foremost principle as an elected official is service to the community and not self.
The core responsibilities of a councilwoman are to represent our constituents by engagement and open transparent dialogue. The council's primary focus is to ensure that the City maintains a high quality of life for residents, empowering a business friendly environment, and ensure public safety has the resources and tools to keep the community as safe as possible. Chandler excels in delivering all of these and has been able to maintain the lowest cost for services in Maricopa County and the lowest crime rate since the City's inception in 1912 - I am committed to keeping it that way.
I would be proud to contribute to the continued success the City of Chandler has been experiencing for these many decades. I would like to be known as a councilwomen that was accessible and compassionate, that represented and fought for the residents of Chandler that left our City better for generations to come.
9/11 was the first big impactful historical event in my life. I was 18 at the time and remember the feeling of heartache come over me, for all of our country. At that time, the harsh realities were foreign to me, and it definitely shook me. It was a devastating blow but I appreciated so much of what I saw come out of it in the end. We rallied, and we came together as a proud, united country.
My very first job was at the local Dairy Queen for the summer. I'm pretty sure I could still make the perfect DQ cone curl.
These amazing individuals have endorsed my campaign: Mayor Kevin Hartke, Jeff Weninger (small business owner and former AZ State Rep), Rene Lopez (former Councilmember), Mark Stewart (Councilmember).
