Jennifer Jean O’Keefe is a judge of the Superior Court of Monterey County in California. She assumed office in 2021.

She was appointed to the court on March 25, 2021 by Gavin Newsom (D) to replace Efren N. Iglesia.[1]

Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing O'Keefe's appointment on March 25, 2021, identified her as a Democrat.[1]

Biography

O'Keefe received her J.D. from the Catholic University of America School of Law. From 2005 to 2010, she served as a Deputy Public Defender at the Fresno County Office of the Public Defender. From 2010 onwards, she served as a Deputy Public Defender at the Monterey County Office of the Public Defender until becoming Chief Deputy Public Defender in 2017. She has also been a Professor at the Monterey College of Law since 2015.[1]
