Jennifer Jensen Bergan is a judge for the Saratoga County Family Court in New York. She was elected to this position in November of 2010 and took office on Jan. 1, 2011. Her 10 year term ends on Dec. 31, 2020.[1][2][3]
Education
Bergan received her B.A. degree from S.U.N.Y. at Plattsburgh in 1980 and her J.D. degree from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1983.[3]
Career
Bergan worked as an attorney for 26 years prior to her judicial election. She also served for 15 years as Chief of the Special Victims' Unit of the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office and was a law guardian for the Family Court. In 2010, she was elected to the Family Court.[3]

Bergan ran as a candidate for the Saratoga County Family Court. She faced opponent Robert Rybak in the general election and won with 57% of the vote.[4][5]
