Jennifer Kurland (Green Party) ran for election for Governor of Michigan. She lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.

She ran on a joint ticket with the lieutenant gubernatorial nominee, Charin Davenport (G).

Biography

After graduating from West Bloomfield High School in 1999, Kurland attended Michigan State University for two years before joining Clean Water Action as a field manager in 2001. In 2004, Kurland left Clean Water Action to join Charter One Bank. Kurland was promoted to assistant branch manager before leaving for Huntington National Bank in 2014, where she was a branch manager until 2015. Kurland joined the Redford Union School Board in 2013 as a trustee before becoming president in 2015. At the time of her entrance into the 2018 gubernatorial election, Kurland served on the school board as well as managing Jazzmyn Phyne Designs, a jewelry design firm she founded in 2008, and appearing as a radio personality on The Offensive Feminist with Jenny K.[1][2]
