Reducing health insurance costs by requiring the exchanges to follow the insurance industry standards and laws, work to attract competition, crack down on fraud, and create service standards for the state exchange to follow

Senator Bill Cassidy of LA. He has been fighting for healthcare price transparency, which is also a passion of mine.

Honesty and integrity

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I am a successful business owner. I have been fighting for causes all my life and I can't be bought

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

The main responsibility is to the people of this State. To actually listen to the people and represent them not special interests

What legacy would you like to leave?

I would like to be known as someone that creates unity

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

At age seven I had two jobs- I was a newspaper girl and I sold greeting cards and plant seeds door to door

What is your favorite holiday? Why?

Daylight savings because I get an extra hour

What is your favorite book? Why?

Economy

It should be based on a fair distribution of party members

Yes.. insurance and real estate, public safety, budget
