Primary: She was successful in the primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 44.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Matthew D. Karr and Lori A. Tallman.
General: She defeated Matthew D. Karr in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 54.8 percent of the vote.

Education
Manley received her undergraduate degree from the Michigan State University, William Tyndale College in 1996 and her J.D. degree from the Thomas Cooley Law School in 1998.[4][5]
Career
Before her election to the 67th District Court, Manley worked as an attorney in private practice. She also previously served as an assistant prosecutor for Genesee County.[6]
