Jennifer Scragg Karr was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 8 of the West Virginia State Senate.

Karr's professional experience includes working as a Putnam County Attorney, fiduciary supervisor and counsel to the County Commission, and prosecutor of the City of Dunbar. She has served as Vice President and National Committeewoman of the West Virginia Young Democrats and as Vice President of the Putnam County Democratic Women's Federation.

Karr earned her degrees at West Virginia State College and West Virginia University College of Law.
