Jennifer Upchurch Edwards is the family court judge for the Russell and Wayne Counties Family Court of the 57th Judicial Circuit. It serves Russell and Wayne counties of Kentucky.[1] She was elected to the court in 2007 and re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires on January 1, 2023.[2] [3]

Upchurch Edwards ran for re-election to the 57th Judicial Circuit.
General: She defeated Matthew B. DeHart in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 61.1 percent of the vote. [4] 

Education

Edwards received her undergraduate degree from Lindsey Wilson College in 1996 and her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law.[5]

Career

Before her election to the court in 2007, Edwards worked as a special education teacher for Russell County public schools. She also previously worked as an attorney in private practice and served as a trial commissioner, a domestic relations commissioner, and as a master commissioner for the Russell Circuit Court.[5]
