2016
Four of the nine seats on the Kansas City Public Schools school board were up for general election on April 5, 2016. The members are elected by district. One at-large seat was open. Jennifer Wolfsie was the only candidate to file in the race. Due to this lack of opposition, she did not appear on the ballot and she was automatically elected.[1] The by-district seats for Sub-District 1, Sub-District 3 and Sub-District 5 were ballot write-ins. This occurred because either no candidates filed for the race or those who filed did not meet the required qualifications to be a candidate.[1]
Results
This election was canceled due to a lack of opposition. Jennifer Wolfsie ran unopposed in the Kansas City Public Schools at-large school board election.[2]
