Three of the five seats on the Davidson County Schools school board were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbents Alan Beck and Phillip Craver filed for re-election and faced newcomers Jenny Ball, Kristie Bonnett, Mary Brown, Denise McLemore, Samantha Ogle, Nick Atkins, Ryan Davis, and Josh Nifong. Beck, Bonnett, and Craver won the election.[1][2]

She ran against challengers Jenny Ball, Darren Barnes, Ralph E. Chappell, Dwight D. Cornelison, Brian Feezor, Jeannie Misenhiemer Leonard and Neal N. Motsinger.
