Experience counts. I have experience as a former prosecutor, defense attorney and as a pro tem judge. I also have been an educator teaching Criminal Law at the University of Nevada, Reno and Truckee Meadows Community College in addition to instructing attorneys in the area of criminal law for the State Bar of Nevada for continuing education purposes ensuring our attorneys are up to date on the law. I have been an active member of the Reno community even as far back as high school when the Washoe County School Board appointed me to the position of Brigade Commander for the entire JROTC program in Washoe County. At the same time, I served as Battalion Commander for the Reno High School JROTC program. This was the first time anyone served in both positions at the same time. In law school, I was involved in student government as President and well as becoming President of the Nevada Law Student association at the McGeorge School of Law. In addition, I was the Moot Court coordinator for McGeorge School of Law where I procured the attendance of Retired Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy as a judge for the moot court program.
My life has been entirely focused on the law and on leadership. My experience makes me uniquely qualified.- Experience Matters. 36 years as a practicing attorney in both prosecution and defense along with 26 years serving as a Judge Pro Tem for Reno Municipal Court, make me uniquely qualified for this position.
- Access to the courts should be made easier for the general public. Municipal Court is, most often, the first encounter every day citizens have with the court system. For example, traffic citations. Citizens should be allowed to appear for citation matters via zoom so they need not miss work, spend hours at the courthouse and then have to come back for yet another court date. Naturally, contested matters need to be conducted in person; however, initial appearances can certainly be efficiently handled using the zoom platform. This makes it much easier for our citizens to tend to their court business without lost time from work, daycare costs, and, parking issues.
- As a pro tem judge, I have always been fair to all parties. Listening and applying the law and using discretion are all important qualities a judge should possess.

Campaign website
Hubach's campaign website stated the following:
Making Courts Work for Everyone
If elected I will implement ways for our Reno citizens to not have to spend hours in court losing money from missing work. For example, there is no reason why traffic citations cannot be handled over Zoom as we did during COVID. Out of custody arraignments can also be handled over Zoom.
People should not have to spend hours in court when matters can be handled quickly and efficiently over Zoom. If COVID taught us anything other than doing what we must to stay healthy, it was to utilize platforms such as Zoom to make things more accessible to our residents.
We have seniors, people with disabilities, single moms, you name it, who need to focus on taking care of work, family and their health. Let's make access to the courts easier for everyone.
