Candidate Connection

Jenny Marshall participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on April 3, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Jenny Marshall's responses follow below.[1]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) Raising the minimum wage

2) Medicare-for-All
3) Fully funded public education from early childhood through college.[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

As a public school teacher, I am passionate about providing a safe and inclusive learning environment that helps our students to grow and succeed. This includes fully funding public schools at the federal level to ensure that teachers and students have the resources they need to thrive. I am also passionate about protections for workers and the right to unionize. I have been a union member for over a decade, and I will fight for workers to be able to organize unions and collectively bargain. Additionally, I am passionate about reforming our healthcare system to provide accessible healthcare for all.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]
