Jenny Wuerker was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 40 of the Wyoming House of Representatives.[1]

Campaign themes

2014

Wuerker's website highlighted the following campaign themes:

Pro-Second Amendment: I will protect our Second Amendment rights with no-compromise.

Pro Life: I am pro-life; life begins at conception and ends with natural death.
Pro Traditional Marriage: Cheyenne does not need to pass laws redefining marriage.
Low Taxes: I will fight to keep taxes low because that is a proven way to maintain growth and in turn create revenue for both individuals and the state. I would not have voted for the 10¢ gas tax increase.
Cut Government Waste: I will fight to cut Government Waste and put the tax money directly back in the hands of the people. Strong Education: Wyoming can do better than Common Core! I have 2 children in the public school system and you can trust I will fight for the best educational system with the highest standards. While Common Core pointed out that our present standards should be higher, I do not believe that, in the end, federalizing our educational system will be the best thing for our children.
Pro-Business: Having built businesses from the ground up, I know the needs of small business owners. I know that intrusive government regulations only squelch healthy growth. I will fight to cut overregulation and let businesses run to their fullest potential.
Oil and Gas: I support the industries of oil and gas and have seen first hand how they positively impact Johnson County "plus".
Pro Tourism and Recreation: I recognize the importance of tourism to our local economy and will work to maintain its steady growth. Outfitting, snowmobiles and ORVs are important parts of our economy.
Ranching: I support the ranching community. Predator control is an essential right. I do not support the use of "in-stream flow" concept for decisions affecting Wyoming's water that would negatively impact the ranching community.
Against Federal Intrusions: I will do my best to keep federal intrusions out of Wyoming. The EPA's over-regulatory intrusions were a repeated theme in Resolutions sent in from around the state. I know there are no easy answers, but will search for appropriate ways to protect Wyoming.[2][3]
