Jeramey Anderson (Democratic Party) is a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 110. He assumed office on December 6, 2013. His current term ends on January 4, 2028.
Anderson (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives to represent District 110. He won in the general election on November 7, 2023.
He was first elected to the chamber in a special election on November 5, 2013.[1]
Anderson was a Democratic candidate for Mississippi's 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House. Anderson lost the general election on November 6, 2018, after advancing from the primary on June 5, 2018.
Biography
Growing up in Mississippi, Anderson graduated from Moss Point High School. He went on to earn his associate degree in criminal justice from Pearl River Community College.[2]
At age 16, Anderson founded the nonprofit organization Purple Knights of America, an organization dedicated to mentoring males ages 11 through 18. He now serves as the organization's president/CEO.[2]
When Anderson won his seat in the Mississippi House of Representatives in November 2013 at age 21, he became the youngest African American elected to a legislature in the United States history.[2]

Elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[3] Incumbent Jeramey Anderson defeated Mitch Ellerby in the Democratic primary. No Republican candidates filed for election. Anderson ran unchallenged in the District 110 general election.

2013
Anderson won election in the special election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 110. The seat was vacant following Billy Broomfield's (D) election as Mayor of Moss Point. Anderson faced Tyres Autrey, Mitch Ellerby, Aneice R. Liddell and Anne A. McMillion in the special election, which took place on November 5, 2013. As no candidate received more than fifty percent of the vote, the top two vote-getters - Lidell and Anderson - met in a runoff election on November 26, which Anderson won.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
