The ideal relationship between the Governor and Legislature is that they each wake up to preserve the liberties of their citizens, then never trust each other unless they verify the other is working in good faith and pursuant to the Rights of the People.
Our greatest challenge as a state will be fighting the overreach of the Federal Government and fighting local corruption.
The benefits and drawbacks are the same: unrestrained political power. The real question is who will have that power. Consolidated power is never good for Liberty.
The benefits of “Government or Political” experience is far outweighed by the risk of complacency and corruption. The “Government” mindset is the same as that of a hammer. To a hammer, every problem is a nail. To someone from Government, every solution is Government.
Building relationships is always important. You have to be able to work together. How else are you going to convince them to support you?
Redistricting should be done by a nonbiased, math-geometry based program that simply equally divides the populate by numbers and logical boundaries. The reason politicians love to gerrymander is because they hate working for votes. They want to pick their voter rather than the people picking their candidate.
As far as committees, I will work on any committee that I’m asked or that I think I can have a positive impact on.
No. I should be in my RV retired, but my State and Nation need leaders that believe in our foundational principles. Like George Washington, I will serve until I’m no longer needed or wanted.
As you may or may not know, I am currently incarcerated as a Political Prisoner for exposing the illegal actions and corruption of the FBI. I am surrounded by story after story of the violations of the rights of Florida citizens and the results of decades of failed Government policies whose “good intentions” have paved many roads to the hells that are many of these inmates’ lives. When citizens break our societies’ rules, we MUST do a better job as a society to HELP them, not just house them until their trip around the revolving door that our Justification System (not Justice) has become. We owe it to them and our communities. No human should be given up on.
“Emergency Powers” imply there are times when normal laws and liberties should not be followed. I do not agree. There is no “Emergency Clause in the Constitution.
I believe compromise has a time and place based on the topic, but I do not believe you ever compromise on your principles. Voters elect officials to represent them and stand up for their beliefs, convictions and principles. Compromise on issues like funding levels, but never on liberty.

I am a man who believes in Freedom, Family, and Fairness; a man who is a father of five wonderful daughters. I am a 20-year retired Green Beret and a US Army Special Forces master sergeant. I am a combat veteran who earned two Bronze Stars. I have served my community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. I am a person who is passionate and protective of our United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the 10th amendment, and the liberty of states. I am a person who will protect US sovereignty and state’s rights. I will protect against government overreach and career politicians. I am a person who will put the residents of East Hillsborough County and South St. Petersburg first and foremost before any globalist and special interest agenda. I will meet with you, hear your concerns and you will come to know me as someone who fights for you, your rights, and your freedoms. I am socially compassionate. I will walk with you, listen to you, and be your advocate. You will grow to trust me to represent your family, your needs, and your homes. I am also a January 6th. Political prisoner.
  • Freedom: Local government overreach has gone beyond anything we have ever seen. Our communities no longer feel safe with the rapid influx of undocumented immigrants and expansion of programs like "Defunding the Police" that only harm our own citizens. It is time to refocus on what made America great and return to our roots by restoring our Constitutional rights.
  • Family: The family unit is being intentionally torn apart by aggressive programs aimed especially at minorities and paid for by our own tax dollars. Devisive programs like Critical Race Theory in our schools are turning children against parents. And gender-confusing tactics are being used to control our kids' minds. These policies are destroying our local communities and they must end.
  • Fairness: All men are created equal, but with our two-tiered justice system not all men are treated equally. I will seek reforms in our criminal justice system that respect the hard work of our brave law enforcement officers while protecting the rights of every citizen and honoring the principles of "innocent-until-proven-guilty."
I am most passionate about American exceptionalism, as embodied in the US Constitution. Our Founding Fathers built the best system of government the world has ever known, and it MUST be preserved. The 10th amendment allows the states to act as “Laboratories of Liberty”. The overreaching of our federal government never grants liberty, it only diminishes it. Federal intrusion into states’ rights diminishes the clear language of our constitution. Congressional term limits are a MUST to ensure that power is never the goal. Representation should be based on constituent needs, as our Founders intended.
My grandfather taught me that NO MAN is better than another, and NO WORK is beneath you. He taught me to RESPECT people and their work ethic. Because of this, the baseball player, Cal Ripken Jr. was the closest person to someone I would look up to as a young boy. He worked hard, day in and day out, and NEVER lost his cool or acted like a fool in order to make headlines. He was ROCK SOLID and I wanted to play and perform with his level of professionalism. My mom still buys Cal Ripkin Jr. items for me when she comes across them. As a grown man, I learned that my grandfather, Jack Brown had become my hero as I found myself looking back on the life lessons he taught me. He was no "teddy bear" and I feared his bad side, but he was secretly giving and quietly kind. Nearly everyone in my small town knew his name. My final example is those who have given their lives for this country and their communities- military, law enforcement, and first responders that have died in the line of duty. I have personally lost many comrades in my 20 years of service, most of which were during the war. Men and women that face death on a daily basis just to make America and the world a better place deserve our RESPECT. Those that have made the ultimate sacrifice deserve more than words. They deserve us to sacrifice as well; we owe them lives well lived and lives and actions that preserve the Republic they died to defend and protect. THEY are my heroes!
“What a Difference a Daddy Makes”, by Dr. Kevin Leman. While I am not a perfect dad, my hope is that my 5 daughters will look back at me the way I look back at my grandfather. Daddies are the most “Pro Women” people in America!
“Rise to Rebellion, by Jeff Shaara because it brings to life the period of time before the American Revolutionary War.
I will engage the people of my district by walking their streets, knocking on their doors, shaking hands and breaking bread with them. I do not believe in “sure thing” voters OR “they’ll never vote for you” voters. I fear NO discussion or topic. I will listen by actually giving voters access to me, by going to their neighborhoods and inviting them to join me in discussions on social media. If you want to know what I think, JUST ASK! I will give you my ideas and solutions, not talking points written by others. I will LEAD and explain my actions every step of the way. I will represent the people, not a Party. Parties are just supporters of like minds, but problems are solved by people when they discuss, debate, conclude, then cooperate!
The core responsibility is to PROTECT and DEFEND the US Constitution while representing the people of Tampa and St. Petersburg. It will be my role in the Florida House of Representatives to keep the federal government from overstepping its bounds while allowing the people in my district to direct what is best for them at the state level. The protection of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are paramount, NOT the collection of power.
He came, he saw, he fixed and he left things better than he found them. Government was meant to be a service, NOT a profession. I believe in term limits, but also believe that people should be able to choose who they want. My plan is to serve 3 regular terms, then groom a replacement. If after 3 terms, the people still want me, then I will ONLY do so if I win 10% more of the vote for each additional term. When elected, I will voluntarily index my pay to my military pay and donate the balance to local and military charities. I want my legacy to be that I put my money where my mouth is and I did what I said. Promises Made, Promises Kept! Sound familiar?
I remember the invasion of Grenada in 1983, I was in the 4th or 5th grade at the time. I wanted to be a soldier and our soldiers were in action! My grandfather, a WWII Vet and Reagan democrat supported it so it must have been the right thing to do! Later as a young Army Ranger in the 1st Ranger Battalion, the “Grenada Vaders” were like Gods, they were “old school” combat vets. Those were the days before endless wars. While no soldier will ever turn away from war, they need to be given the freedom to WIN, then come home to a little peace.
My first job was working at Mcdonald's- Not long at all! I quickly found another job washing dishes at Boswells, the only nice restaurant in my small town. I worked there until summer, then went to the lumber mill and worked with my uncle, Robert Barker every summer until I entered the Army. It was a man’s job, and I loved it.
"Rise to Rebellion, by Jeff Shaara because it brings to life the period of time prior to the American Revolutionary War. I also love "What a Difference a Daddy Makes". by Dr. Kevin Leman because it reminds me of the love that I have for my 5 daughters. Dads are so "Pro-Women."
I would be the guy in "Political" Deadpool. He does the right thing and wins in the end, even though he may not do it in the most politically correct way :)
C'mon, Man! Isn't it the same for ALL of us? "Baby Shark".
There are two things that I have struggled with in life. 1st.Survivors’ guilt after having lost so many friends over the course of my career. I felt like retiring was giving up on their legacy and often wondered if there might have been something I could have done differently. For years on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day, I would feel guilty celebrating, so instead, I chose to mourn privately. Recently, one of my soldier friends, Jack Murphy, wrote a story in his memoirs called “Murphy’s Law.” (If you read it, I am “Michael Bluth” in the story). It was about how those we have lost WOULD NOT want us to feel sorry for them. They died doing what they loved. In every “death letter” I ever wrote to my wife and daughters, I told them that I died doing what I loved. Luckily for them and for me, they never had to read any of those letters. But it is still hard. I see my campaign as a way to honor their sacrifices, protect their families and prevent their loss from being in vain.
2nd. I felt the loss of my daughters. As I am sure you will hear from my opponent’s negative ads, my daughters were allowed to be taken to Missouri. The truth is that the system failed them and me. I have NO SHAME discussing the truth because I am a real person. Their loss nearly killed me and I am NOT ashamed to admit that. Because of my loving girlfriend, Tylene, and dear friends, I am alive today to fight for American Families and prevent what happened to me from happening to them. Losing my daughters stole my life's purpose, or so I believed. I have found a new purpose and I hope you agree that it will be a worthwhile endeavor.
I am retired from the ARMY, so when I meet a veteran from another branch of service, such as the Air Force, Navy, or Marines and they tell me, "hey, I was in the Marines", my standard answer is, "Hey, we all make mistakes!" It is all in good fun!

Candidate Connection

Jeremy Brown completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey. The survey questions appear in bold and are followed by Brown's responses.

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) Restore the Constitutional Role of Congress. Our Government has been taken over by Politicians when it was built to be run by Citizen Leaders. Politicians seek power, Leaders solve problems. 2) Protect Tampa & American Citizens' Liberty & Freedoms by fighting against Federal Government overreach & putting American's needs ahead of Illegal Immigrants and Globalist. 3) Support the current "America First" Agenda by supporting the President when it is best for American's and working with the President to correct any area that is not best for Americans. "Trade Wars" are better than "Real Wars" (I know first hand) and cutting taxes AND slashing bloated Federal spending are examples of policies that help ALL Americans, especially those struggling the most. Leadership requires doing what is RIGHT, not what is right for you.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am most passionate about US Constitutionally mandated government and American Sovereignty and Exceptionalism. Our Founding Fathers built the best governmental system the world has ever known and MUST be preserved. They knew to need for a strong BUT limited Federal Government which could protect and preserve the robust State Governments. The 10th Amendment allows the States to act as "Laboratories of Liberty", free to experiment with citizen driven solutions to humanities problems. The overreaching of our Federal Government NEVER grants Liberty, it only diminishes it. True Leaders would restrain themselves when given the opportunity to seize power. Our current Congressional make-up does NOT do this. They seek EVERY chance to seize and consolidate power in Washington DC. State Governors and City Mayors should be FURIOUS! We all should be. Congressional Term Limits are a must to ensure power is never the goal, but Constitutional Representation, as our Founders intended.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I've never been big on "Heroes" or "Looking Up" to people. My Grandfather taught me that NO MAN is better than another and NO work is beneath you. He taught me to RESPECT people and their work ethic. Because of this, as a young boy and baseball player, Cal Ripken Jr. was the closest person to someone I considered a "Hero". He worked hard, day in and day out, and NEVER lost his cool OR acted like a fool in order to make headlines. He was ROCK SOLID and I wanted to play and perform with his level of professionalism. My Mom to this day still buys me Cal Ripkin Jr. items if she comes across them. As a grown man, I learned that my Grandfather, Jack Brown, had become my "Hero" as I found myself looking back on the life lessons he taught me. He was no "Teddy Bear" and I feared his bad side, but he was secretly giving and quietly kind. Everyone knew his name in my small town and I never understood why as a kid, but it became obvious as I became a man. When I look back on my life, I hope he would be proud. My final example are those who have given their lives for this Country and their Communities. Military, Law Enforcement and First Responders that have died in the line of Duty. I CANNOT count on both hands the number of friends and comrades I have personally lost in 20 years of service, most of which were during War.

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

"Saving Private Ryan" (Movie), "Unplanned" (Movie), "Blackhawk Down" (Movie), "Fireproof" (Movie), "Lone Survivor" (Movie). "The Greatest Showman" (Movie) "Rise to Rebellion" (Book) by Jeff Shaara, "QBQ" (Book) by John Miller. The book of "Proverds" (Book), "The Love Dare" (Book) by Stephen Kendrick, "What a Difference a Daddy Makes" (Book) by Dr. Kevin Leman, Financial Peace University (Group Program) by Dave Ramsey, "Hamilton, An American Musical" (Musical) by Lin-Manuel Miranda, "The Federalist Papers" and the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution. When I want to read a FICTION Political Spy Novel, I read the "Mueller Report" by Robert Mueller and 12 Democrat Lawyers.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

As a Legislative Representative, they must FIRST be willing to engage ALL their constituents, regardless of their party or political views. It is impossible to represent someone if you aren't even willing to engage in a conversation with them. SECOND, they must be able to listen. Americans all have their own individual stories, struggles, accomplishments and ideas. If you want to know where your focus needs to be, you must LISTEN to the concerns of the people. THIRD, have thoughtful solutions not just pandering promises. In the military, you can't show up with a problem without offering a solution. On a 12 man Special Forces Operational Detachment-ALPHA (ODA) we planned and talked through problem sets as a TEAM, but when the discussion was done, the LEADERS made the call as to which plan was to be executed and we ALL worked together. Did every plan work out perfect? HELL NO! But we conducted After Action Reviews (AARs), kept what worked and scraped what didn't. Then we moved on to the next "Mission". Representative Government HAS TO work the same way. Without being open to listening to ideas, we will NEVER succeed. FOURTH, have the courage to do what is RIGHT and BEST, not just what is popular. As a Father, I have had to do 1,000 things that I hated, but needed to be done. Was it painful? YES! But was it necessary? Absolutely! Discipline is doing what is right when no one is watching. Leadership is getting others to do what is right, even when they don't want to. FIFTH, you MUST inform and educate the people as to the facts and the situation. Over the last few hundred years, Americans have lost interest in their government because their Representatives have failed to keep them informed and engaged. LASTLY, LEADERSHIP is doing what is best and right for the whole, even if it is unpopular. Politics is a popularity contest, but Leadership is about getting things done and solving problems. That is what I have done for 26 years and will continue to do the same in Congress.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I WILL engage the people and citizens of Tampa by walking their streets, knocking on their doors, shaking their hands and breaking bread with them. I don't believe in "sure thing" voters OR "they'll never vote for you" voters. I fear NO discussion OR topic. I will LISTEN by actually giving them access to me, not by busing in known supporters, but by going to THEIR neighborhoods or inviting them to join me in discussion on social media. If you want to know what I think, JUST ASK! I will give you MY ideas and solutions, NOT talking points written by consultants or a Party. I will LEAD when it comes time to LEAD and I will explain my actions every step of the way. I will represent the people of TAMPA, not a Party. Parties are just supporters of like minds, but problems are solved by people when they discuss, debate, conclude then cooperate!

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

The core responsibility is to PROTECT and DEFEND the US Constitution while representing the people of Tampa, Florida and America at the Federal level. It is the role of a Congressman to keep the Federal Government from over-stepping its bounds and allowing the people to direct their States to do what is best for them. The protection of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are paramount, NOT the collection of power.

What legacy would you like to leave?

He came, he saw, he fixed and he left things better than he found them. I believe Government was meant to be a service, NOT a profession. I believe in term limits, but I also believe the people choose who they want. I will serve 3 regular terms and groom a replacement. If after 3 terms, the people still want me, then I will ONLY do so if I win 10% more of the vote for each additional term. I.E. 4th Term, I will need 55% of the vote. 5th Term, I would need 61% of the vote. ALSO, I believe $174,500 is a completely ridiculous salary for a "servant". After 20 years in Special Operations service in the US Army, I made $98,000. This was a completely fair amount because I chose to serve. If elected, I will VOLUNTARILY index my pay to my Military Pay and donate the balance to Local Tampa and Military Charities. I will call for this in legislation as well, but I will do so on my own until it passes. I want my legacy to be that I put my money where my mouth was AND I did what I said! Promises Made, Promises Kept! Sound familiar?

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The invasion of Grenada in 1983. I must have been in the 4th or 5th grade. I didn't know anything except I wanted to be a Soldier and our Soldiers were in action! I heard my Grandfather, a WW II Vet and Reagan Democrat, talk about what was going on and if HE supported it, IT MUST HAVE BEEN RIGHT! Later, as a young Army Ranger in 1st Ranger Battalion, "Grenada Vaders" were like GODS! They were "Old School" Combat Vets. Those were the days before ENDLESS Wars. Then, young Rangers begged for War, today, I'm sure they would love a little peace. DO NOT GET ME WRONG, NO Soldier will ever turn from war, BUT if their Leaders send them to FIGHT, they should allow them to KICK ASS, WIN, then come home! PERIOD.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My very first job was working at McDonald's. I hated it! I quickly found another job working with my best friend, Jeff Avondo, washing dishes at the ONLY nice restaurant in my small town, Boswell's. It is no longer in business and the building is now a "government office" I think. I worked there until summer, then I worked in a lumber mill with my Uncle, Robert Barker. THAT was my first "MAN's Job". I worked there every summer until I entered the Army. It made me a man and I LOVED IT!

What happened on your most awkward date?

I was a Sophomore or Junior in High School and my Drama Teacher, Lynn Whitehurst, convinced me through a series of hints that I should ask Laura C. out on a date. Now, Laura C. was one of the most beautiful girls in our school (Jeff, Froch,or any John A. Holmes Alums, am I right?). She was not only beautiful but smart, talented (Cheerleader, Athlete, Actress) and TOTALLY out of my League. My plan? Take her to a movie! The movie? "Hot Shots: PART DEUX". I was so nervous, I can barely remember anything. What I DO remember is me laughing my butt off, OUT LOUD, while she kinda smiled politely. In my mind, I totally blew it! HAHAHA NOW, if she reads this and tells me she was in love with me, I will be SOOOO mad! But, life worked out ok for me :-) I hope it did for her as well!

What is your favorite holiday? Why?

I'm not a big "Holidays" guy. After 20 years of being gone for most Holidays and Birthdays, then running a 24/7 Transportation business for 5 years after retirement, I've just learned to see every day the same. If I had to chose one, it would be July 4th or Thanksgiving. The Fourth is so great because it reminds us how free we are and what it took to become that way. Thanksgiving because it brings family together. Neither Holidays have anything to do with buying junk to give to each other, but they focus on gathering together and sharing things we are thankful for: Freedom and Family!

What is your favorite book? Why?

I try REALLY hard to read, but I struggle to find the "quite time" that I need. With that said, I have two that I love. 1) "Rise to Rebellion" by Jeff Shaara. It brings the period before the American Revolution to LIFE! 2) "What a Difference a Daddy Makes" by Dr. Kevin Leman. While I am not a perfect Dad, I hope my girls (I have 5 daughters) will look back at me the way I look back at my Grandfather. Daddies are the most "Pro Women" people in America and Dad Lives Matter!

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

"Political" Deadpool. The guy who does the right thing and wins in the end, but he might not have done it in the most "Politically Correct" way :-)

What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?

My pets. I have 2 adopted stray cats, each was because of my daughters; Cammie (F) and Monkey (F). I kept both as reminders of my daughters as they took them in during their summer visits. We have also added our Campaign Mascot, Liberty (F), an Australian Sheppard puppy that will be a Dog by the time we get to Washington DC! They all listen to me ranting and raving and NEVER disagree ;-)

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

C'mon, Man! It is the same for ALL of us! "Baby Shark". In fact, I was in Sam's Club and a Dad was singing it. I said to him, "I'm sorry, Sir, but I am gonna have to ask you to STOP singing that song!" He laughed and explained how he had not sang it in a while, but just cracked...lol.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

There are only 2 things that I have ever considered struggles. 1) Survivors guilt. I have lost so many friends over the course of my career, I feel like retiring was quitting on their legacy. I also struggle with wondering if there might have been something I could have done differently. For years, I would withdraw to myself on Memorial and Veteran's Day. I felt guilty for celebrating and chose to mourn privately instead. Recently, one of my Soldiers wrote a story in his memoirs, "Murphy's Law" by Jack Murphy (if you read it, I am "Michael Bluth" in it), about how those we have lost WOULD NOT want us to feel sorry for them. They died doing what they LOVED, just like EVERY "Death Letter" I ever wrote to my wife and daughters. I told them I "Died doing what I loved". Luckily for them, and me, they never had to read any of my letters. But it is still hard. I see my Campaign as a way to honor their sacrifices, protect their families and prevent their loss from being in vain. 2) The loss of my daughters. As I'm sure you will hear from my opponent's negative ads, my daughters were allowed to be taken to Missouri. The truth is the system fail them and me. I have NO SHAME discussing the truth, because I am a real person. Their loss nearly killed me numerous times and I am NOT ashamed to admit that. Because of a loving girlfriend, Tylene, and real friends, I am alive TODAY! Alive to fight on! Fight for American Families and prevent what happened to me from happening to them! Losing them stole my life's purpose, or so I believed. I have found a new purpose and I hope you agree that it will be a worthwhile endevour.

What process do you favor for redistricting?

An equal division based on mathematical/geographical formula. Gerrymandering is designed to make things easier for the "Professional Political Class". If they make the districts easy, they don't have to win the battle of ideas. We should expect Candidates to earn our votes, not just take them for granted. I will earn EVERY vote I get!

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

It is a body where 435 individuals have been entrusted by "The People" to protect their liberties and freedoms while at the same time trying to solve many complicated issues. Every member is free to propose legislation, but they then must be prepared to explain it and 'sell' it on how it is best for the American People.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

No. Experience in Leadership? YES! Our Government was NOT founded by Politicians, but by Citizen Leaders! It has been taken over by people that have realized how lucrative Government is. This is OUR fault. We have the Government we deserve, but now we have hopefully seen the error of our ways. How is it "servants" make 3 to 4 time more than the average American? How is it they get rich spending our money while telling us we need to pay more? How is it someone who has NEVER run a business, tells you how to run yours? THEY SHOULDN'T! But we have put liars in charge rather than Leaders. But there is hope, we can change that every 2 years!

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Our Greatest challenge as a Nation will be preserving our Constitutional Republic and Federalist form of Government. The Global Left are actively supporting the undermining, subverting and sabotaging of our Republic. We are the Natural Enemy of Globalism, Socialism, Communism, Radical Islamist and Evil. Because of this, they seek to destroy us from every angle by targeting everything that has made America great. The most effective institutions they have infiltrated are 1) our education system and 2) our very Government. We MUST stand up and make our voices heard. If we don't, we will have to realize the true purpose of the 2nd Amendment.

If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

Because of my background in Special Operations, Armed Services and Intel are easy choices and because I built and ran a transportation business, Transportation would be logical, but I am a Soldier and Team Player. I will serve where Leadership best feels I will make a difference. Oh yeah, my Opponent serves on the "Special Operations Caucus", I think I MIGHT be just slightly more qualified. (Lifetime Politician V/S Lifetime Special Operations Soldier...but you will have that choice in November).

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

Yes. 2 year terms were meant to work as "natural term limits", but what was not anticipated was Politicians would simply use there terms as 2 year re-election campaigns. That is why I think 3 two year terms is enough for the House and 2 six year terms for the Senate. Our "Leaders" are complacent and know they can get away with it. Get in, Fix something, Get out!

What are your thoughts on term limits?

I'm for them! But, if the people are happy, you should have a "Super Majority" system. If you hit your 3rd term, but get 55%, then you stay. Next time, you need 60% to stay or a system like that.

If you are not currently a member of your party’s leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, would you be interested in joining the leadership? If so, in what role?

I want to win my election. If the people believe I deserve to be in leadership, then I will seek it. I will work for the People!

Is there a particular representative, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

I will not model anyone, as I am my own man, however, I do respect Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio for his aggressiveness, Rep. John Kennedy of Louisiana for is common sense, Rep. Louis Gohmert of Texas for his straightforwardness, Rep. Dan Crenshaw for his service AND willingness to educate the voters, J.C. Watts (Ret.) of Oklahoma for bucking a Democrat Family tradition and cultural political stereotypes, Rep. Allen West (Ret.) of Florida for his actions to trick a terrorist into talking, even though the Army threw him under the bus. In the Senate, I like Rand Paul for constantly standing up for the US Constitution AND the restrictions on the Federal Government.

Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?

WOW! This is tough. I have heard so many. I ALWAYS love to talk to LEGAL Immigrants. Having served in 17 countries around the world, I know first hand some of the countries these New Americans have fled. I believe most natural born Americans take America for granted, but I have NEVER met a Legal Immigrant that does. They KNOW exactly what Makes America Great....FREEDOM! Not to be like a Democrat Presidential Candidate by not following the question rules, but I have to tell 2 stories. 1) Leo Bunjaku, Owner of Due Amici Pizza in Ybor. Leo is a Proud American from Albania. When I first met him, I was just a struggling Military Veteran Business Owner. When he heard I was a Soldier, he asked me what I was drinking and NEVER took my money. He told me how much he LOVED America and how grateful he was to be here. In April, I visited him again and told him I was running for Congress. All he said was, "Anything you need!" then brought me a free beer :-) Leo loves America and understands what is happening. 2) Just this past weekend, my girlfriend and I were shopping for a used Minivan. Our search took us to Lexus of Tampa Bay where we met Johannes Hailu, an American from Ethiopia. Johannes has 3 daughters, so we talked about being the Dads of all girls. As I asked, he spoke of the country his family fled. As a kid, I remember how Ethiopia was synonymous with famine and suffering. Johannes remembered THIS Ethiopia and spent time in Communist jail because he attended church. He was so GRATEFUL to be American and spoke about how he tried to teach his daughters how great America is. But he also acknowledged America's role in helping his home country become a new growing "Democracy". THESE are stories of America's power in the world. It must be defended and preserved. I WILL! Thank you Ballotpedia for providing this forum to small, "No Body" Candidates like me :-) When I win, you will be to blame ;-)

Ballotpedia biographical submission form

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:

What is your political philosophy?

I am running for Congress because I think it lacks responsible leadership that understands its Constitutional mandates and limitations. We have allowed our governmental leadership roles to be taking over by self-serving, pandering politicians.

I believe the Federal Government has limits and those limits are clearly laid out in the US Constitution. A document that was written by our Founding Fathers for us to read, understand and use, not for judges and politicians to twist and interpret for their own purposes. At eighteen years old, I swore to protect America and our Constitution from ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic, and I intend to uphold that oath.

I'm an Economic Conservative that believes a free and fair market is the key to our economy, not the Federal Government. Responsible regulation, constitutionally justifiable spending and low federal taxes are needed to keep the American Economy strong and growing. Our Government’s responsibility is to regulate interstate commerce and protect national industries from Globalism that cripples our national security capabilities.

I believe in a Powerful Military as key to National sovereignty, whether at our borders or overseas, must be protected. America is the natural enemy and target of evil, so we must remain the most powerful military in the world. When that power is projected, it must ONLY be done to protect American interest or our Allies. Not every world problem has to be solved with American blood, but when we deploy our forces, it should be done with clear missions and clear plans for quick and decisive VICTORY. If we are to ask America's Mothers and Fathers to offer the Nation their Sons and Daughters, we as Leaders must be good stewards of their sacrifice and endeavor that it is NEVER done in vain.

I'm an Environmental Pragmatist who's family and friends breathe our air and drink our water. We enjoy and admire our beautiful beaches, waterways and wildlife. I believe our environment should be protected and kept clean and it is our responsibility to be good stewards of our wonderful planet. This can and must be done without destroying our economy or our way of life. We cannot make “knee jerk reactions” based on the whims of every political movement driven by “junk science” or the “good idea fairy”. Our current political figures are scaring our children to serve their environmental agenda. I believe we should always look for reasonable solutions while questioning all data in the search of truth and make responsible choices that set the example.

I'm Socially Compassionate and believe Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness is the foundation of Love. Our social policies at the Federal level should be few and limited, but based on the “Golden Rule”, “Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.” Love is Love and cannot and should not be influenced or regulated by government. In order to love, we must embrace and protect LIFE. Hate and discrimination should be reserved for evil, but disagreement is NOT hating or discrimination. When government respects and protects Life and Liberty, the love for our communities, country and humanity will be free to solve all our social struggles.

Is there anything you would like to add?

I am NOT a Professional Politician, I am a Retired Veteran and American that could no long sit on my couch yelling at my TV. I've spent my entire life leading and I cannot stand by and watch the Country I love be attacked from within. Because I am NOT a member of the "Professional Political Class", I don't have big donors and tons of cash. I need the support of the individual voters. If you like what you have read, please consider donating to my campaign. Every dollar counts and I will NOT let you down. Thank you.[3]
