I am a married father of three boys. I have been a union pipefitter for 25 years and served 14 years in the United States Army Reserves and National Guard as a Military Police Officer with three deployments including two to Iraq and one to Kosovo. I live in DeSoto, Missouri on a small farm where we raise a few cattle, chickens, and too many dogs. I am a staunch conservative who believes in protecting our borders, our second amendment, our free speech and keeping the government out of state and local business. I am a blue collar conservative who values the contributions of labor and workers' rights and believes strongly in the need for Congressional Term Limits.
  • I am not a career politician or hand picked party elite, I am a working class American who understands the needs of the people of Southern Missouri.

  • The rights of free speech must be protected and I will ensure this happens, fighting the censorship being instituted by social media and cable news.
  • Our second amendment rights are under attack like never before. I will not waver in my defense of the second amendment, the right to bear arms "shall not be infringed."
Freedom of Speech, Border Security, Second Amendment Protection, Private Property Rights, Worker Rights and Safety and the protection of states' rights against federal overreach.
The first historical event that I remember would probably be the space shuttle Challenger tragedy. I was only 10 years old when this happened. We were watching the launch on a television in our classroom and really didn't have much understanding of what had just occurred. It is amazing what changes have occurred since then in the realm of space exploration. When NASA was pretty much dismantled I couldn't believe it, but have been amazed at the advancements since the private sector took over.
At the age of 15 I went to work at a family friends business building commercial metal door frames for 40 hours a week all summer in order to buy my first car. I was raised to appreciate the hard work that it took to earn an honest dollar.
I don't believe that previous experience is required to be an effective representative. With a firm understanding of the general procedures I believe that the specifics can easily be understood in a short time. What is more important is a willingness and desire to represent the will and best interests of those you are representing. I believe that someone who has lived the life that the average American has to live gives a perspective and understanding that career politicians can never gain.
There are a few committees that I feel I would be qualified for and would want to be a part of including Veterans Affairs, Labor, and Armed Services. My personal experiences as a veteran and a union pipefitter would allow me to share a perspective and have an understanding of the issues related to these committees that most politicians do not have.
