|Working with individuals with IDD, you have to wear many hats. We are health care providers, we are teachers, we are counselors. We provide services as varied as driving individuals served to assisting them with finances and cleaning their homes. Having these in-depth experiences over the last 2 decades makes me uniquely qualified to serve as the Clay County PA (Public Administrator).
In the last 20 years of providing these services, I have formed close relationships with agencies in Missouri and Kansas that help us provide critical services to the individuals we serve. For the last several months, during the Covid crisis, we have made many changes to our services. We have implemented emergency procedures necessary to maintain the health and safety of the persons served as well as those providing services. I work daily in contact with all interested parties from services coordinators and government agencies to guardians and family. We will continue to closely monitor these procedures for the foreseeable future.
- I have spent 20 years working with individuals under the care of the PA's office.
- I have an in depth understanding of the needs of the individuals under the care of the PA's office.
- My 20 years experience working with these individuals and my understanding of their needs make me uniquely qualified for Clay county Public Administrator.
"I gave my life to become the person I am right now. Was it worth it?" -Richard Bach
