Jeremy Taylor is the Republican Place 3 judge of Circuit 9 in Alabama. He was first elected to the bench in the 2010 general election and took office on January 18, 2011. Taylor won re-election in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1]

Biography

Taylor attended the University of Alabama for his undergraduate and J.D. degrees. He was a senior editor of the Alabama Law Review. He has articles published with the American Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association. Prior to becoming a circuit judge, Taylor was a DeKalb County assistant district attorney.[1][2]

Alabama held general elections for local judicial offices in 2016. A primary election took place on March 1, 2016, with a primary runoff on April 12, 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016.

Taylor defeated Kevin Grimes in the Democratic primary with 58.2 percent of the vote. He was elected in the general election after running unopposed.[4][5]
