I'm just your average Joe with a passion for helping others. From 2014-2018, I co-chaired a volunteer organization that raised thousands for local charities, but have also been politically active. A twin cities transplant to rural Western Minnesota, I realized quickly that the area was ripe for new perspective. I've worked as a campaign manager, PAC treasurer, outreach officer, and delegate to the state convention. I've walked in over 100 parades, door knocked hundreds of doors, and made as many even more phone calls.

From an early age, I found nobility in public service. I was inspired by elected officials that put people first, from Paul Wellstone to Bernie Sanders. I wanted to help people who needed help most, and carry that passion through to today. I serve on the Alexandria City Parks Board, the ATCC Diversity Committee, and continue to volunteer my time whenever possible.

Outside of public life, I work in customer service, am a father to two boys, and I love to go to concerts, fish, and spend time outdoors.
  • I believe that anyone who works for a living should make a living. This includes benefits, paid leave, access to childcare and healthcare, education, food and shelter. We have the means to ensure this to everyone, we just need the will.
  • Affordable housing is ever fleeting and a primary solution is to increase supply. We need to work in collaboration between public and private enterprise to increase availability so that working class people have more opportunity to thrive and grow within their communities.
  • Integrity in office is in short supply, largely due to the role big money plays in it. Elected officials should be beholden to their constituents, not special interest groups and lobbyists. There should also be an expectation that they convey as accurate information to the public as possible. People looks to elected officials for guidance, and they should be able to trust what they're told.
Education should never saddle anyone with insurmountable debt. We should be able to take common sense steps toward reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and our carbon footprint. Reproductive rights are human rights. Healthcare is a human right.
