I am a 33 year old husband, father, coach and proud believer, was born and raised on the south side of Lansing. I reside in Delta Township with my beautiful wife of 8 years, Christina, 9 year old son, Malachi, 7 year old son, Levi, 4 year old daughter, Eliana, and 22 month old son, Isaiah. I made the conscious decision of dedicating my life to the service of others.

In 2005, I received the John the Baptist award from Our Savior Lutheran Church and School. I graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in 2009. Following high school, I submersed myself in the experiential marketing realm, which I continue to practice today. I have represented numerous brands and campaigns over the past decade. In addition, criminal justice became a primary focus. I have experience working in the security sector for General Motors, Delta Dental, Meijer Distribution Center, and Waverly Middle School.

In 2019, I began my career with the Lansing School District. My first role with the District was as a State of Michigan PA 330 Certified Public Safety Officer. Today, I am a Community Engagement Specialist, primarily working with the Lansing Learning Hub (Lansing School District’s alternative high school). I am pursuing post-secondary Social Science studies, but firmly believe self-education and lived experiences are just as important as formal studies. My public policy knowledge, advocacy, and experience supports my life mission.

  • Lansing Chapter NAACP, Michigan Democratic Party & ECDP Member.
  • Lack of Civic Engagement - I will involve the community in our democratic process by addressing their needs and hosting Town Hall meetings.
  • Need for Public Safety - Lansing Mall tenants have seen an uptick in theft and physical assault.
  • Infrastructure woes - we need additional sidewalks and bike lanes to ensure residents remain safe and healthy.

Transparency is a MUST. We must hold government officials to the highest of standards.

1) Economy. 2) Civil Rights. 3) Education. 4) Criminal Justice.

Yes. During my 2013 run for Lansing City Council at-large, the City of Lansing adopted my campaign slogan, “I AM LANSING,” and founded a mascot – a lynx named CUFF, which stood for “Communities United with Food and Fitness.” Also, the VCI (Violent Crime Initiative), was birthed from my 2013 Lansing City Council campaign run.
