Murphy is ran successfully for election to the New York Supreme Court 10th Judicial District on November 8. He received 11.35 percent of the vote, earning on of the 10 positions on the ballot for that court.[1][4]
Education
Murphy earned his B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton Business School, in 1975. He received his J.D. from the Brooklyn Law School in 1981.[3]
Career
Before taking his spot on the Supreme Court 10th Judicial District, he was a managing partner at the law firm of Chesney & Murphy, LLP. Murphy also served as a village justice in the Village of Island Park from 1987 until 2002. He also worked as an attorney for the firm McCoy & Agoglia and as an accountant for Price Waterhouse & Co.[3][5]
