Jerome Kearns

Jerome Kearns was an at-large representative on the Fairfield City School District Board of Education. He was first elected in 2008.
Kearns died in December 2016. Carrie O'Neal was appointed to his seat until the 2017 election.[1][2]
Biography
Kearns was the director of the Butler County Department of Job and Family Services. He was a member of the Fairfield Township Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Fairfield Kiwanis. He served on the Shared Harvest Foodbank board and the Workforce One Investment Board of Southwest Ohio. Kearns earned his bachelor's degree in social work from The Ohio State University.[3]
Kearns died in December 2016.[4]

Incumbents Jerome Kearns and Balena Shorter won re-election to their seats. Leila Kubesch filed to run against the incumbents but withdrew from the race.[5][6][7]
