Jerry Burkett
Jerry Burkett was a candidate for the Place 5 seat on the Northwest school board in Texas. He was defeated by incumbent Devonna Holland in the general election on May 10, 2014.
Biography
Burkett has his bachelor's degree from Baylor University, and both his master's degree and doctorate in educational leadership from Dallas Baptist University. He works actively with legislators on the state and federal level to achieve better understanding of education policy initiatives and needs. At the time of his candidacy, Burkett was serving as director of college and career readiness for another school district. He lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his wife and son.[1]
