Jerry Demings is a member of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners in Florida, representing Mayor. He assumed office on December 4, 2018. His current term ends on November 17, 2026.

Demings (Democratic Party) is running for election for Governor of Florida. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on August 18, 2026.^[source]

Demings was the county sheriff for Orange County in Florida from 2009 to 2018. He resigned in June 2018 to run for Orange County Mayor.
