Jerry Demings is a member of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners in Florida, representing Mayor. He assumed office on December 4, 2018. His current term ends on November 17, 2026.

Demings won re-election to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners to represent Mayor in Florida outright in the primary on August 23, 2022, after the general election was canceled.

Demings was the county sheriff for Orange County in Florida from 2009 to 2018. He resigned in June 2018 to run for Orange County Mayor.
