Jerry A. Esrig (Democratic Party) is a judge for the 9th Subcircuit of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He assumed office in 2016. His current term ends on December 4, 2028.
Esrig ran for re-election for the 9th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
Esrig was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court on October 30, 2013, to fill the vacancy left by Allen S. Goldberg.[1]
Education
Esrig earned his B.A. degree from Northwestern University in 1974, where he was elected to the freshman honor society Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago School of Law in 1978. Between undergraduate and law school, Esrig served as a congressional aide to the Hon. Abner J. Mikva.[1]
