Griffin also ran for election for Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction. He will not appear on the ballot for the general election on November 3, 2026.
Griffin was a member of the Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education in Oklahoma, representing District 6. He assumed office on July 7, 2020. He left office on April 15, 2024.
