Elections for the Illinois House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 18, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 2, 2013. Mo Khan defeated Jerry J. Acciari in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Michael McAuliffe was set to face Michael T. Yorty in the Republican primary, but Yorty was removed from the ballot on January 10, 2014, leaving McAuliffe unopposed. McAuliffe then defeated Khan in the general election.[1][2][3][4]
