Jerry Joy was a 2012 candidate for District 1 of the Nebraska Unicameral. Joy has held office as Town Board Chairman.

Joy earned his bachelor's in education from Peru State College and his master's in education from Northwest Missouri State.

Joy ran for election in the 2012 election for Nebraska State Senate District 1. Joy advanced past the May 15 primary election and was defeated by Dan Watermeier in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
