Jerry Rindone was a candidate for the District 2 representative on the San Diego County Office of Education in California. He was defeated in the primary election on June 7, 2016.

Rindone ran for mayor of Chula Vista, California, in 2014. Before running for mayor, he was a member of the Chula Vista City Council from 1990-1998 and 2000-2008.[1]

Rindone holds a B.S. and an M.S. from San Diego State University. His professional experience includes working as a teacher and as the Assistant Superintendent for Adult Education in Chula Vista.

The city of Chula Vista, California held mayoral elections on June 3, 2014. Pamela Bensoussan, Jerry Rindone and Mary Salas faced off in the general election. Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, the top two vote-getters - Salas and Rindone - met in a runoff election on November 4, 2014. Salas defeated Rindone in the runoff.[3][4][5][6][7][8]
