Jerusha T. Adams is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Adams joined the court on November 12, 2019.[1]

Education

Adams obtained a B.A., cum laude, from Western Michigan University in 1997. She obtained a J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2000.[1]

Professional career

Before becoming a federal magistrate judge with the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama in 2019, Adams was a partner and civil litigator at the law firm of Capell & Howard P.C. Before that, she worked for 11 years as an assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Middle District of Alabama. She was a law clerk to Judge Keith Watkins on the United States District Judge of the Middle District of Alabama; chambers staff attorney for Judge Joel Dubina, senior judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit; and a judicial law clerk to Judges Mark Fuller and Truman Hobbs, and to Magistrate Judge Vanzetta McPherson.[1]
